New Berlin Recreation Partners with Optum
New Berlin, WI - The City of New Berlin is excited to announce that the New Berlin Activity and Recreation Center is partnering with Optum to provide complementary memberships to members of the nationally recognized Renew Active fitness program. Through this collaboration, the New Berlin Activity and Recreation Center continues to provide senior community members with more opportunities to increase their physical activity levels while motivating them to remain active.
“This collaboration emphasizes our commitment to a healthier community. With the addition of Renew Active by United Healthcare, we are providing our seniors the ability to take charge of their health by providing this program to support them in their fitness journey, no matter when they start,” stated Katie Roth, Manager of the New Berlin Recreation and Activity Center.
Renew Active by United Healthcare is a health and fitness program for adults 65+ that’s included in many Medicare plans. The Renew Active /RecPASS at the Activity and Recreation Center offers access to the walking/running track (7 laps to a mile) and 12 pieces of cardio and strength equipment. It also provides “Open Gym Time” for pickleball, basketball, and volleyball.
