Archery range and trapshooting licenses are required for any property or facility in the City of New Berlin that makes an archery or trapshooting area available for use, whether public, private club, or commercial. Please refer to the Municipal Code for full definitions and requirements.
Insurance Requirements
- Archery ranges and shooting galleries/trap/skeet: liability coverage of $1,000,000 per person; $3,000,000 per occurrence for injury/death; and $50,000 for property damage.
- Policy must name/cover the City and applicant; certificate must be filed with the City Clerk. Cancellation or modification requires immediate replacement; non-compliance may result in revocation.
Fee
- Original application – $50
- Yearly renewal – $25
- All fees must be paid by cash or check made payable to: City of New Berlin

Application Process
- Download and fully complete the application, including all required information
- Submit the completed application with the fee to the Office of the City Clerk
- Once approved, a permit will be issued, emailed, or mailed to you. Allow 2-4 business days for processing.
